What is an Assessment Report?

An assessment report is a document which summarizes the findings of an assessment. It outlines the strengths and weaknesses of an organization and helps improve internal processes. It is typically written by an outsider however, it can also be done internally. Assessments are usually carried out as part of training and development programs or as part of a wider performance review of the company.

Assessment reports should clearly communicate the findings of the assessment and what actions have been taken in response to these findings. They should be easy-to-read and include a mixture of images and text to convey information. They should also take the organization’s design principles into consideration in order to ensure they are well-presented and align with the brand image of the company.

A program’s assessment is not about determining whether students have completed the required requirements however, it is more about determining how they have progressed through time and if the curriculum has succeeded in improving student outcomes. Assessment reporting for each academic year is one method to demonstrate this. These reports are evidence that programs are evaluating and improving their curriculum. They also show continual improvement.
